Exploring the experience of an enhanced recovery programme for gynaecological cancer patients: a qualitative study

This work explores the patient experience of taking part in an enhanced recovery programme when undergoing surgery for gynaecological cancer. This work was qualitative in nature and involved interviews with 14 women who had participated in the programme after surgery for their cancer. This work has been published in Perioperative Medicine, and can be found here.

In addition, a number of interviews and focus groups were also conducted with staff at the same institution who were involved in the implementation of the programme. These transcripts are currently being analysed, and an article and will be published in 2015.
